Based in the Raleigh-Durham area and available for travel throughout North Carolina and Destination weddings, Allyson’s Chair specializes in on-location bridal hair and beauty services, including airbrush makeup, traditional makeup, and dry hairstyling.
Allyson specializes in Bridal and with an over 10 year career likes to focus her time and attention on the Brides hair and makeup and just a few others added to her work at one time. Focusing now on groups of 5 or fewer to maximize her time, talent and focus.

Meet Allyson
Bridal Hair & Makeup Artist
Hi! I'm Allyson Smith and welcome to my chair.
I grew up in Durham, North Carolina and have always been interested in anything beauty related. I attended East Carolina University and discovered two and a half years into college that I truly needed to turn my passion into my career.
I started Allyson's Chair in 2018 after graduating Cosmetology school and working in various spas and salons. Over the years, I've been trained with several cosmetic companies including Merle Norman, Jane Iredale and Temptu airbrushing.
I have continued to enhance my skills by working with and learning from estheticians, fellow licensed cosmetologists, and master stylists, including award-winning Ash and Co. Bridal hair in Charleston SC.
I recently married my sweetheart Darren in 2024. We live in Franklinton, NC with our two fur babies, Lady and Rip.
I have had the privilege of being part of over 250+ weddings, and I truly feel at home in my career. I can't wait to meet you!
